Death Valley Tour

About the trip

From: $270

🚐 As you journey toward Death Valley National Park, your knowledgeable local guide will offer fascinating insights into the area’s climate, history, wildlife, and rugged terrain. Known for its dramatic extremes in elevation and temperature, this remarkable region never fails to amaze. 🌡️

A quick pit stop at Death Valley Marketplace in Pahrump gives you the chance to stretch your legs and indulge in some nostalgic treats, including classic soda pops, old-fashioned candy, and handcrafted souvenirs. 🥤🍭 It’s your last stop before crossing into California! 🏄

Dante’s View is your first major destination. Perched over 5,500 feet above the salt flats of Death Valley, this vantage point provides sweeping panoramic views of the vibrant badlands and the dry expanse of Lake Manly below. It’s easily one of the park’s most breathtaking overlooks.🔭

At the Furnace Creek Visitor Center, you can explore exhibits, shop for unique mementos, and discover the surprising ways life has adapted to this harsh environment. Despite its name, Death Valley is full of life, with astonishing stories waiting to be uncovered here.

A stop at Harmony Borax Works offers a window into the region’s mining boom-and-bust history. Walk among the historic ruins and see a replica of the legendary Twenty Mule Team Wagons that once hauled the mined borax across the desert. 🫏🏜️

As you continue through the park, your guide will discuss the unique geology of the region while you enjoy lunch with views of the salt flats and the intriguing spires of Devil’s Golf Course. Learn how the area’s unique elevation and terrain contribute to its reputation as one of the hottest places on Earth. (Rest assured, our tours operate during the cooler months from September through May.)

Next up is Badwater Basin, Death Valley’s most iconic spot. 📸Snap a photo beneath the sign marking the 282-feet-below-sea-level point. Venture out onto the alien-like salt flats via the boardwalk, but don’t forget your sunglasses—the bright white salt can be dazzling.😎 On warmer days, you might even hear the crackling sound of salt crystals bursting under the sun.

Before you leave Death Valley National Park, you’ll be captivated by the vibrant hues of the Artists Palette along the Artists Drive Scenic Loop. We’ll also visit the historic Inn at Death Valley, nestled within The Oasis at Death Valley resort and dating back to 1927. ⏳

Your adventure wraps up with a mild off-road drive through the multi-colored badlands of Twenty Mule Team Canyon, a landscape made famous by early Star Wars films. After an exciting day of exploration, you’ll return to your hotel in time to enjoy dinner and the vibrant Las Vegas nightlife! 🎰
