Stop 1

You will start with the ghost town of Nelson, where the air is thick with stories of feuds, claim jumping, devastating floods, vigilante justice, and fortunes both made and lost. Discover the vibrant history of this remote, once-bustling community to life, highlighting the unique features of the surrounding desert landscape.

Your tour includes a visit to the Techatticup gold mine, widely regarded as one of the oldest, richest, and most storied gold mines in Nevada. Guided by a local expert, you’ll delve into the mine’s fascinating past. Afterwards, stroll through the abandoned streets of Nelson, where you can explore a private collection of vintage cars and memorabilia, all set against the striking backdrop of the canyon. This town offers incredible photo opportunities, many of which look like they’re straight from a movie set!

Stop 2

A short drive from the mine takes you through rugged canyonlands, revealing dramatic rock walls and stone formations. Your next stop is the latest Nevada National Monument of Spirit Mountain also known as Avi Kwa Ame to explore large swaths of well-preserved Petroglyphs from the ancestors of the Hopi Indians and the Southern Paiutes. It’s another fantastic location for snapping memorable photos.

Stop 3

Lunch will be in the city of Laughlin on the bank of the Colorado river.

Stop 4

The trip will continue to Oatman, a fascinating ghost town with roaming Burros along a typical western backdrop, for the visitors willing to spend a wonderful time in a real Old West setting.
